Visa, a global leader in digital payments, has joined forces with Qashio, a UAE-based specialist in spend management solutions, to launch an innovative business-to-business (B2B) travel payments offering.

Visa, a global leader in digital payments, has joined forces with Qashio, a UAE-based specialist in spend management solutions, to launch an innovative business-to-business (B2B) travel payments offering.

The partnership aims to address the needs of the travel and tourism industry in the UAE and beyond by introducing the Visa Commercial Choice Travel programme, according to Finextra.

The initiative will simplify corporate travel payments, with global issuance capabilities covering the UAE, Mena, Europe, and the UK. Visa and Qashio have committed over AED 100m ($27m) to this programme over the coming years.

Visa operates as one of the world’s largest digital payment platforms, enabling individuals, businesses, and economies to thrive through its innovative financial technology solutions.

Qashio, based in the UAE, focuses on spend management, offering tools that digitise and automate corporate payment processes for enhanced efficiency and liquidity management.

Through this collaboration, travel companies can access Qashio-issued cards that support transactions in multiple currencies, including AED, SAR, USD, EUR, and GBP.

The cards are issued in the UAE, enabling seamless payments and settlements across regions. Clients also benefit from integrated tools that automate reconciliation, streamline payment processes, and improve liquidity.

The Visa Commercial Choice Travel programme offers real-time data insights and analytics to provide precise cashflow tracking and budgeting.

It is integrated with global travel management companies and their booking systems, enhancing the overall corporate travel experience.

Qashio CEO Armin Moradi commented on the partnership, saying, “We recognise that the Travel & Tourism industry is key in the region however the travel companies are underserved with strong technical payment solutions that work in their favour, we are creating a one-stop platform that simplifies the corporate travel experience for our clients, allowing them to focus on what truly matters – growing their businesses.”
