Annie Ren – Citibank

Annie is a senior director in first line Risks & Controls, Compliance and Internal Audit with experience across Markets, Investment & Corporate Banking, and Institutional Client Services businesses from several Tier One banks, including Citibank, Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan, and Deutsche Bank. Currently, Annie is the Global Head of Markets Central Controls Testing in Citibank, where she is responsible for establishing and overseeing a global team of risk professionals to execute the Control Design Assessments, Monitoring Design Assessments and Testing Design Assessments on behalf of the Markets business. Outside Citibank, Annie is an Executive Board Member and the Director of Governance for ‘Women in Banking & Finance UK’, a social enterprise membership organisation focused on promoting equal opportunities in the financial services industry. She is also a workstream leader of the ‘Women Pivoting to Digital Taskforce’ for the City of London Corporation which aims to address the issue of underrepresentation of women working in digital careers and future proofing the digital workforce.

Annie holds a Master of Science in Accounting and Finance from the University of Birmingham and is a Chartered Accountant. Annie is very interested in the development and application of Artificial Intelligence in Compliance and Risks & Control space and recently completed the Oxford University Artificial Intelligence Programme.
