UK Research and Innovation (UKRI) is the national funding agency investing in science and research in the UK. Operating across the whole of the UK with a combined budget of more than £6 billion, UKRI brings together the 7 Research Councils, Innovate UK and Research England.
UKRI is looking to advance their understanding of challenges faced by Fintechs and the Financial Services and the role research and innovation can place in addressing the challenges.
The current Next Generation Services programme is aimed at supporting the transformation of the Accountancy, Insurance and Legal Services UK sectors by the responsible use of AI and data. AI for Services is a UK wide network underpinning the programme by bringing together Data and Artificial Intelligence businesses and academics with the professional and financial services sector. AI for Services, in partnership with London Economics, have published the AI for Services 2020 Report, which provides insight into the adoption of AI and Data technologies in professional services and showcases innovative startups transforming the sector.
