{"id":6497,"date":"2019-04-11T10:39:37","date_gmt":"2019-04-11T10:39:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/fintech.global\/digitalinsurtechforum\/?p=6497"},"modified":"2019-04-11T10:39:37","modified_gmt":"2019-04-11T10:39:37","slug":"zurich-insurance-coverwallet-partner-to-launch-sme-insurance-platform-in-switzerland","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/fintech.global\/digitalinsurtechforum\/zurich-insurance-coverwallet-partner-to-launch-sme-insurance-platform-in-switzerland\/","title":{"rendered":"Zurich Insurance, CoverWallet partner to launch SME insurance platform in Switzerland"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Zurich Insurance Group has teamed with CoverWallet to launch a new SME insurance platform in Switzerland.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This will mark the second European country where this online insurance platform will be available, having already launched in Spain last year.<\/p>\n<p>The new platform is powered by CoverWallet and offers Zurich\u2019s insurance policies to SMEs, who will be able to receive real-time quotes, purchase insurance, and manage their policies digitally.<\/p>\n<p>US-based CoverWallet provides a range of business insurance solutions, including general liability, worker compensation, business owner\u2019s policy, commercial property, commercial auto, and umbrella insurance policies, among others.<\/p>\n<p>Switzerland Zurich Insurance CEO Juan Beer said, \u201cThanks to the partnership with CoverWallet, we offer small businesses a new type of easy-to-deal with online insurance coverage. Our target group are micro-enterprises and startups, which usually lack the time and resources to deal with the topic of insurance protection.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/member.fintech.global\/2018\/06\/08\/coverwallet-reels-in-capital-to-expand-insurtech-platform-in-europe\/\">Zurich Insurance invested into CoverWallet last year<\/a>, picking up a minority stake in the company. The funding was earmarked to support European expansion of the CoverWallet solution.<\/p>\n<p>CoverWallet CEO and co-founder Inaki Berenguer said, &#8220;Zurich is one of the most renowned insurance companies in the world, and our partnership underscores the value they see in making small business insurance available online.
