Dr Lubczanski manages Swiss Re’s global Behavioural Research Unit. She joined Swiss Re after obtaining her PhD in Health Psychology from University College London. Transferring her expertise from psychology, she sits in a core team of researchers who have pioneered the bringing of insights from behavioural economics into the world of insurance in order to better understand and predict customer behaviour. Through over 150 field tests with clients around the globe, they are helping to improve outcomes in the fields of sales, underwriting, retention and claims. In addition, she contributes to other research initiatives in Swiss Re, including ageing, wearable devices, improving health behaviours and increasing diversity and inclusion. Some of her current projects include reducing bias in decision making and learning how to improve the health of policyholders.
