Ascent RegTech expands team with new chief operating officer hire
Ascent RegTech, a compliance automation platform, has expanded its executive team with the addition of Arbela Takhsh as its new chief operating officer.
Takhsh has gained more than 20 years of experience within leading business operations and product development for global organisations. She has held positions at Motorola, Google, Comcast, and most recently, she served as the senior vice president of operations excellence, quality, and data analytics & business intelligence at Gogo.
With her, Takhsh will bring experience in technology operations, launching new products and lines of business in regulated industries, operational excellence and quality, and advanced data science.
Ascent is an end-to-end compliance platform which uses natural language processing and artificial intelligence to convert regulatory text into workable tasks. Data is collected from a selection of channels and includes historical and real-time documents/rules directly from regulators, personalised for each business.
The RegTech company recently launched a change management solution to help companies keep up-to-date with regulatory changes. The Ascent Change Management product will help players in financial services and other industries to improve their horizon scanning and change management processes, and in turn streamline compliance tasks.
Ascent founder and CEO Brian Clark said, “We are thrilled to welcome Arbela. Her proven leadership and expertise in data science, innovative technologies, and customer-focused operational excellence exemplify all that we look for when considering additions to our team. We look forward to having her join our efforts as we continue to strengthen and scale our offerings.”
The RegTech 100 company was recently omitted to the Wells Fargo Startup Accelerator. The company also closed a $6m Series A round in 2018, which was used to support the enhancement of its automation engines and the expansion of its market presence.
Earlier in the year, Ascent added seven new regulators to its platform spanning the US, Singapore and Australia.
