Tealium secures $55m Series F to support global expansion
Real-time data orchestration solution Tealium has closed its Series F funding round on $55m to support global expansion.
The capital round was led by the late-stage growth fund Silver Lake Waterman, with participation also coming from ABN AMRO Digital Impact Fund, Declaration Partners, and Parkwood. Additional contributions also came from unnamed, existing backers.
Following the investment close, Tealium is looking to expand its data integration ecosystem, increase new product development and further scale global go-to-market activities.
Since the company launched back in 2013, it has raised a total of $160m in funding.
Tealium has built a real-time customer data platform which can meet the most stringent requirements for protecting the integrity and privacy of customer data, it said. Its data governance and compliance portfolio empower clients to manage differing regulations across multiple countries.
The platform gives organisations a single view of customers, acting as a secure central point of management across the whole data supply chain. Its technology connects customer data with technology stacks and digital assets, such as websites, mobile applications, point-of-sale systems and call centres, to boost data freedom internally.
This data can be integrated with all technology and business operations to improve customer experiences, real-time decision making and analytics.
Tealium has witnessed strong growth in recent years, culminating in a 300 per cent year-over-year increase in visitor profiles created.
Tealium CEO Jeff Lunsford said, “Our customer data platform is the vendor-agnostic foundation that allows data to flow freely and securely across the organization — rendering it accessible and useful to every team and technology, and solving departmental or technological silos that limit opportunity for data agility.
“By democratizing the data collection and delivery process, we help organizations meet the changing needs of their business and customers and protect the integrity of their data.”
