“Steve Holt is a partner at EY responsible for leading the EMEIA Financial Services Cyber Security practice covering 14 countries. He has more than 20 years experience in IT audit, IT risk, Cybersecurity, regulatory and data privacy. He works globally with clients across retail banking, investment banking, broking and asset management.
Steve has extensive experience of leading global Cybersecurity engagements, covering the breadth of subjects. He has provided advice to clients on their overall strategic security direction to mitigate existing and future external and internal threats, and supported the development of security roadmaps to implement their strategies.
Steve is currently working with a number of financial services clients on assessing their approach to address Cybersecurity and Cybercrime risks.
Steve is leading a number of major GDPR programmes and regularly presents, and provides advice to clients on achieving GDPR compliance and other data privacy requirements. He also has led investigations for clients covering topics: data loss, operational resiliency and Cyber attacks.
Steve regularly presents on the topics of technology risk management, data privacy, cybersecurity, third party management and data leakage.
Steve is one of the firm’s leading experts of IT regulatory requirements. This experience has been developed over the last 12 years by leading Regulatory reviews and independent reports. In addition, he is working with a number of organizations to help them assess and achieve compliance with global Cybersecurity requirements (e.g. MAS, OCC, PRA).
Steve is a Chartered Accountant (ACA), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), member of the IAPP and holds the ISEB Certificate in Data Protection.
