Bimpe is Co-Founder and CEO of Wealth8, a digital investment platform designed to connect people with investment opportunities by providing easy and affordable access to tools and information for wealth creation. The goal is to bridge the wealth gap for those who are traditionally overlooked and underserved, in particular the black and multi-ethnic communities in the UK (and ultimately on the African continent). Wealth8 gives users the ability to start saving and investing with only £8, in global funds managed by Blackrock and JP Morgan, as well as providing financial education and simplifying the language of investment. Bimpe is also a dually qualified lawyer, with over 30 years’ collective experience in England and in Nigeria. She has, prior to launching Wealth 8, practiced law both in Nigeria and the UK and also manages a boutique wealth advisory practice and multi-family office (based in London) which is focused on African entrepreneurs and their families and manages over USD 100 million of assets. She is a member of the Chartered Institute of Securities & Investments (CISI). In 2020, she was included in the ‘100 Women to Watch’ list of female professionals suited to board positions on FTSE companies, which is created annually by Cranfield School of Management. She is also a member of the advisory council of Black Women in Asset Managers (a network of over 500 black women professionals in the City of London), as well as 100 Women in Tech.
