Matt Heintz, a seasoned financial services executive, is the Head of Strategy for Wealth Management Solutions at JPMorgan Chase. Matt is a proven leader with 14 years’ experience, who has a track record of delivering results in complex, high-pressure environments.
In Matt’s current role, he is responsible for driving organic and inorganic growth in diverse areas such as Personalization at Scale, Advisory / UMA, Workplace, ESG / Sustainable Investing, Donor Advised Funds, Retirement, Electronic Trading, Financial Wellness, and OCIO. Matt has taken a leadership role, both pre- and post-deal, in recent M&A transactions such as 55ip, OpenInvest, and Global Shares, along with various strategic partnerships.
His work involves working closely with cross-functional and cross-LOB teams to identify and capitalize on market opportunities, develop innovative solutions, and create compelling value propositions for clients. He drives multiple complicated & high profile projects simultaneously. He has strong experience with business cases, growth options, market & competitor analysis, customer assessments, scenario planning & modeling, and synergies. Matt believes in the importance of understanding the voice of client and always ensures solutions are squarely centered around their needs.
Prior to this role, he was a vice president on the Asset Management Strategy and Business Development team, also at JPMorgan Chase. Before that, he was an engagement manager at Monitor Deloitte, focusing on M&A Strategy / Pre-deal Due Diligence, primarily for private equity clients.
Matt has an MBA from Northwestern – Kellogg School of Management, where he concentrated in Strategy and Management. Matt received his undergrad degree from NYU Stern, where he majored in Finance and Marketing.
Matt lives in Sutton Place (Midtown East) with his wife, Emily Fitzgerald, and his 4 months old son, James “JT” Heintz. They also have a 8 year old rabbit named Cotton. Matt enjoys skiing, running, weight lifting, and fantasy football in his free time.
