Digital banking startup Airbanq has raised $2.5m in a seed round of funding to bring financial services to under banked consumers.

The capital comes from Cowboy Ventures, First Round, FLOODGATE, Sand Hill Angels and Bee Partners, which previously invested $750,000 in the company’s seed round.

Airbanq allows users to cash cheques through its mobile app and receive payments instantly through direct deposit.
