France is receiving a new bitcoin ATM with GrupoBTC France, a subsidiary of ATM Bitcoin Exchange, installing the machine in the southern city of Montpellier.
The installation represents the beginning of ATM Bitcoin Exchange’s international expansion.
The new ATM, designed by BTC Fácil brings the total in France to four with two currently in Paris and another in Toulouse.
The ATM will allow users to buy and sell bitcoin and is controlled remotely through security features such as double-factor authentication and physical security tokens.
The Spanish company has already installed 18 bitcoin ATMs in its home market and plans to expand across Southern France and Greece.
There are currently a reported 741 bitcoin ATM machines across the world with the majority in the US.
