FinTech startup Cookies brings P2P payments to Germany

Cookies is launching a peer-to-peer payments solution in Germany where most people still rely on traditional banking.

Customers can connect their bank account directly to the mobile app which then manages all incoming and outgoing transfers.

Payments can be made via a phone number or email address and the app also offers the option to send messages with the transferred amounts.

Cookies is compatible with over 4,500 banks in Germany and is using the platform of German lender?Deutsche Kreditbank AG (DKB).

Customers can also have some fund while sending money to their friends and loved ones by including a few emojis with the transferred money.?Cookies has dubbed the characters ‘paymojis’.

The new app charges ?100 per month and initially will be accessible to users only via an invite.
