Predictive analytics firm Big Squid has landed $3m in a seed funding round led by Silverton Partners and Kickstart Seed Fund.
The Salt Lake City-based startup aims to use machine learning and data analytics to forecast business scenarios and drive decision making.
The company’s technology operates across a number of verticals including insurance and real estate.
In addition to its machine learning-based visualisation platform Big Squid offers consulting services.
Big Squid counts more than 400 customers and will use the new financing to accelerate user adoption.
Kickstart’s Dalton Wright and Mike Dodd from Silerton Partners will join the company’s board as a result of the deal.
