Pantera Capital is reportedly looking to raise $100m for a hedge fund that is entirely focused on blockchain tokens.
The firm has already raised $35m towards its goal after commitments from existing relationships and some new investors, according to several media reports.
This vehicle will be used to support Pantera Bitcoin Partners, which is an investment fund set up by Pantera, Fortress Investment Group, Benchmark Capital and Ribbit Capital, according to the article.
Currently, the fund is only available to US investors; however, there are plans for it to be available globally in the future.
Earlier this year Pantera took part in the $10.4m Series A funding round in to cryptocurrency exchange ShapeShift.
