Berlin-based corporate financing marketplace FinCompare has closed €2.5m in a new round.
The investment comes from SpeedInvest and Austrian insurance group UNIQA’s venture arm as well as angel backers from the finance and banking space.
FinCompare’s online platform is designed to enable small and medium-sized business in search of financing to access and compare financing options.
Alongside corporate loans the platform also offers alternative financing solutions such as Factoring, Leasing and Finetrading, starting from €10,000.
Company CEO and founder Stephan Heller commented: “Smart working capital is a crucial building block on the way to digitalize small and medium-sized enterprises.
“FinCompare combines three steps to make corporate finance easier: find, compare and close.
“We are very happy to have convinced experienced venture capitalists and industry experts on our business model and the related market opportunities.â€
Since launching in February the company has attracted around 400 customers with a requested financing volume of more than €200m.
FinCompare will use the capital to grow its business including enhancing its product offering and expanding its marketing efforts.
