Ireland-based crowdfunding platform Linked Finance has reportedly secured over €1m for Waterford-based businesses.
More than 30 Waterford companies have raised capital through the platform to support growth, according to an article by Muster Express.
Linked Finance is a peer-to-peer lending platform which lets businesses across Ireland borrow money from a range of lenders to help support its growth.
A company lists itself on the website for funding, lenders then bid for how much of the loan they want to offer and the interest rates they want. The platform then selects the lenders with the lowest rates, so that the business receives the best interest rates.
This latest investment, has brought Linked Finance’s total raising to around €3.5m. The company’s previous investment pulled in €2.5m in 2015, from Frontline Ventures.
