E-commerce platform Weee! has raised up to $1.1m in its latest fundraise, FinTech Global can reveal.
So far, the company has registered investments from 12 backers, according to the latest US Securities and Exchange Commission filing.
The fundraise has a goal of $2m, but it is unclear whether this is a target of hard cap.
Weee! enables people to digitally sell products within their local community, using social networks to connect the right consumers. Through the platform sellers have access to logistics support to help them connect with the best distributors.
Launched in 2015, the company has over a thousand sellers and more than ten thousand buyers using the platform each month, according to the company website.
Last year the company reportedly raised a $7.6m Series A funding round, according to an article by 36kr. The investment was used to fund growth and expansion to communities across the world, according to Weee! website.
