Mobile payment and electronic POS developer Swoopos has received a £1.2m investment for aid its UK and international rollout.
Backers to the round were not named; however, among them was a global VC which will be the driving force of Swoopos’s launch into new sectors.
As part of the deal, the company is opening a new UK headquarters in Milton Keynes, adding to its existing office in Wolverhampton.
The company will now commence the distribution of its new solution to the market. Its new product offers a range of new features to help merchants and hospitality providers. It is also looking to launch its platform internationally by working with brands including Subway, Costa Coffee, and Second Cup Coffee.
Swoopos is a mobile ordering and payment POS solution developer, offering a range of different payment terminals from mobile terminals to desktop management solutions. The company provides clients with a solution to process payments, book tables, split bills and close out tabs, as well as mobile ordering and customer loyalty programs.
Alongside payments, users can access back office and reporting tools to help manage inventories and staff and view customer data and analytics.
Swoopos CEO Lee Nazari said, “Our mission is to empower hospitality and retail SMEs with a cloud system that helps them run their business much more effectively. We have already learnt a lot and achieved so much on a limited budget, and this new investment, we can now approach the next phase with experience behind us and deliver the impact where it is needed most.”
The company was previously a member of the Entrepreneurial Spark Powered By NatWest business accelerator.
