Tomorrow Ideas, a company helping consumers plan for their financial and legal future, has received an investment from NFP Ventures.
NFP made the investment to help families better prepare for their financial wellness. Through the partnership, NFP employees will gain access to Tomorrow’s premium suite of features, which are yet to be released.
These tools, called Tomorrow Plus, enable families to make financial decisions through their smartphone, tablet or online.
Some of the offerings available include the ability to create legal wills and trusts with 52 attorneys across the US, organise family finances and view net worth across all accounts, add company-sponsored employee benefits, decide who fills roles like guardian and trustee, record video memories, and track owned items and their value.
Seattle-based Tomorrow helps consumers with their financial future by creating a will, getting life insurance and building a trust. Through the platform, a user lists their major assets, personal belongings and major debts to organise in a will or trust. Pictures of the objects can also be used to assign to a person to receive after the owner has passed.
The mobile app, which is available on Android and iOS, provides comparison tools for insurance policies, to ensure the best term life insurance is acquired.
Tomorrow CEO Dave Hanley said, “Tomorrow’s mission is to equip every American with the tools to prepare their family’s financial future.
“NFP’s scale and deep integration in employee benefits and financial planning make them the ideal partner to help us accomplish our mission to bring financial security to millions of Americans.”
Earlier in the year, Tomorrow raised up to $5.9m in a funding round and last year it secured a $2.6m seed investment.
NFP recently closed a new investment vehicle to invest into InsurTech, FinTech and HR Tech companies. The size of the vehicle is unclear.
