Cedar Gate Technologies has acquired Global Healthcare Alliance in order to provide bundled payment programs support.
Global Healthcare Alliance created its Axia platform, which is a SaaS claims adjudication technology that automates the conversion of free-for-service claims into a single, bundled claim. Alongside this it also supports and manages payments between payers and providers.
The company empowers healthcare providers to manage prospective bundled payment programs.
Founded in 2014, Cedar Gate is a care performance management analytic company which gives providers, payers, and self-insured employers at provides advisory, administrative, and technology solutions.
Through this deal, Cedar Gate will be able to provide its clients with analytical tools and systems needed for designing, contracting and managing performance of alternative payment models, including prospective bundled payments.
Bundled payment programs are used by payers, providers and self-insured employers to ease high frequency care such as cardiology, neurosurgery, orthopaedics or other specialty treatment. They offer a single payment rate for an episode of care which is shared by the hospitals, physicians, laboratories and post-acute facilities that provide care.
