Pivotal Payments rebrands as Nuvei

End-to-end payments company Pivotal Payments has rebranded as Nuvei to reinforce its dedication to its partners.

The rebrand also merges the company’s corporate arm with its GlobalOnePay division. By integrating the two, the company can better handle business strategic needs, provide more value, cost synergies and improve the technology stack.

Nuvei is an end-to-end payment platform offering e-commerce and payment processing solutions to more than 50,000 merchants. It has up to $14bn transacted through its platform on a yearly basis and runs operations in North America and Europe.

The company operates as a community of payment experts, offering a globally connected platform of payment solutions. Clients can access omni-channel payments, integrated solutions and a robust payment facilitation platform.

Currently, the company has more than 400 employees, 1,500 partners and over 50,000 merchants.

Nuvei president Mark Pyke said, “It starts with a vision-driven team. Thanks to our individual and collective ability to build and nurture relationships with our partners, our capacity for client care and responsiveness is second to none.

“Attentiveness and support are what we do best, and what separates us from competitors. That’s what we’re all about; prosperity through collaboration.”

Last year, the company closed a co-investment deal from Canadian pension firm Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec and PE firm Novacap.

The deal values Pivotal Payments at $430m, and will allow it to pursue its plan of buying up other FinTech platforms and expand into new markets according to a statement regarding the investment.
