Digital Italian insurance broker Axieme has partnered with ArgoGlobal Assicurazioni, the European subsidiary of Argo Group International Holdings.
The Turin-based company offers insurance products through its digital platform, which groups policy holders with similar coverage needs. The members of the group share the hazard of claims filed by other members. Each user can then check their savings in real-time.
Through the new partnership, underwriters at ArgoGlobal work with Axieme to provide the coverage through its API.
ArgoGlobal has also partnered with fellow Italian start-up Jobby, to provide a linked service. Jobby’s users can activate their insurance coverage from Axieme via the platform when they accept a job.
Last week, AXA Insurance formed a partnership with Carousell to offer an integrated insurance purchasing solution for the second-hand auto market. Automotive data services provider Ontnomio partnered with car manufacturer Daimler for the creation of new services, including a pay-as-you-drive insurance scheme.
