FinTech investor Green Visor eyes up to $100m for third fundraise

FinTech-focused early-stage investment firm Green Visor Capital is back in the market eyeing up to $100m for its third fund.

The firm was out eyeing up to double that amount for Fund II in 2017 according to a filing the firm lodged with the US Securities & Exchange Commission.

It is unclear how much it eventually collected for that vehicle, although the filing showed it had pulled in at least $51m for the vehicle, outdoing its $50m debut fund.

No capital has been registered for Fund III to date according to a new SEC filing. The document says the firm expects the raise to be completed within the next 12 months.

San Francisco-headquartered Green Visor focuses exclusively on investing in financial technology companies.

Portolio companies backed by the firm to date include Cloud Lending, CreditShop, FiscalNote and TwoTap.

The firm was launched in late 2013 and its general partners include Joe Saunders, the former chairman and CEO of Visa.

Saunders co-founded Green Visor alongside Simon Yoo, who previously held roles at Kabbage, Citigroup, and Mellon Bank.
