Canadian insurer La Capitale Insurance is giving its clients access to a digital app through new partnership with InsurTech startup Breathe Life.
The deal will give La Capitale brokers access to an which will enable them to submit life insurance applications.
Breathe Life has built a customer-centric experience with tools and analytics to digitalise the life insurance industry. Life and health carriers, distribution organisations, and advisors can make use of the platform to let consumers to buy products on their own from their home or through the support of a financial advisor.
Clients can access analytical insights through a dashboard, report and statistical model to better understand their sales performances and identify new opportunities.
This partnership comes just months after Breathe Life closed a CAD $4.5m ($3.4m) seed round from investors including Diagram Ventures and Real Ventures.
Breathe Life co-founder and CEO Ian Jeffrey said, “Consumer buying habits have changed dramatically, and savvy insurers like La Capitale understand that they have to give their advisors the tools they need in order to be able to provide a customer-centric service experience.
“This partnership marks the launch of Breathe Life’s Advisor-Driven Module, a solution that uses all the knowledge acquired through products introduced in the market over 12 months ago, and we are excited to work with La Capitale.”
Last year, La Capitale injected funds into the venture capital firm Luge Capital to support its investments into FinTech startups. Luge Capital received a total of $75m from a group of LPs and is using the funds to back companies at the seed and Series A stage.
