Player’s Health, a risk management platform for the sports, fitness and wellness space, has closed a new funding round.
InsurTech-focused investor Eos Venture Partners, and sports tech-dedicated investor Will Ventures led the investment.
The company offers risk management and insurance services for sports organisations, camps, fitness and wellness organisations, education and faith-based organisations. Its offerings include tools to manage health, injuries, abuse and risk.
There are six solutions available including an online insurance marketplace which enables users to quickly find and purchase protection for a sports organisation. It has been designed to lower administrative costs, and risk associated with purchasing and servicing low cost premium accounts.
Player’s Health CEO and founder Tyrre Burks said, “In Will Ventures and Eos Venture Partners, we have a perfect blend of insurance, sports technology, and data aggregation expertise. We have found true strategic partners who are as passionate as we are about protecting our youth and creating impact through working with the insurance industry.
“Both Will Ventures and Eos Venture Partners have invested not only in our growing company, but more importantly, in the vision of a world where health, injuries, and abuse are managed with the greatest care at every level. We are excited and humbled to have Eos and Will as partners.”
Eos Ventures has made a number of InsurTech investments this year already. Last month, the firm led the Series A round of Westhill, a digital provider for the property and casualty insurance space.
