Aon has formed a strategic alliance with InsurTech startup Claim Central to digitise and streamline claim management capabilities.
Other goals of this new partnership are to improve the customer experience by offering new technology and services which are specifically designed for property and casualty insurance companies.
Founded in 2002, Claim Central develops property and auto insurance claims technology, services and data and insights. The platform eases property claims through the use of live video streaming, aerial imagery, real-time chat, customer sentiment measures, and digital payments. By utilising all of this, the assessors do not need to go to the property to judge the damage.
Alongside the new partnership, Claim Central announced it has opened an innovation centre in Florida which will support the deal with Aon. The new office will run Claim Central’s claims solution and will include modernised workflows with deck examiners, field adjusters, and a credentialed contractor repair network. Through this, the platform will support loss mitigation and faster property repairs.
The centre will be a live insurance environment to test new features and functions, as well as special projects for insurer clients.
Claim Central CEO Brian Siemsen said, “Our goal with the Aon partnership and the opening of our Innovation Center is to make claims transformation and innovation easier for insurers and reinsurers. This is an opportunity for Aon’s clients and Claim Central’s other insurer customers to concentrate more fully on maximizing operations and reaping the full benefit offered by new InsurTech.â€
