San Mateo-based FinTech startup Wise is partnering up with BBVA, the banking as a service company, to launch a new product to help small enterprises scale.
Founded in December 2018, Wise a digital banking and growth company. With the start of the new product, businesses on Wise’s waiting list can get full access via iPad, iPhone and Android devices.
But the Californian banking enterprise is not stopping there. It is also going to roll out additional small business-focused products and services in the future. This will include payments, invoicing, credit card and point of sale solutions.
Arjun Thyagarajan, co-founder and CEO at Wise, said that the speed of his business’ payment offerings was a world-first. “Payments are faster and fee free, in most cases, which means flexibility and cost-savings to owners,” he stated. “This is the way small businesses will bank in the future.”
Abhishek Gupta is the CEO of BBVA Open Platform CEO. He said he and his colleagues were thrilled to be teaming up with Wise. “We are very pleased to help Wise innovate and offer what we believe is the future of business banking,” Gupta added.
