Glow Technologies, a startup aiming to change the way podcasters are paid, have just received a $2.3m investment.
Venture capital firms PSL Ventures, Norwest Venture Partners and Greycroft joined startup investment platform Rise of the Rest and consumer technology business developer WndrCo.
The Seattle-based headquartered enterprise has created a platform enabling podcasters to build their businesses. This will initially be by generating revenue directly from their listeners.
The investment will be used to expand the team and, further down the line, create new tools for creators to connect with their audience better.
Glow Technologies was launched earlier in 2019. It has previously tested its product with Acquired, a startup-focused podcast. The podcast now generates $35,000 in subscription fees through Glow Technologies.
