YES BANK partners with Microsoft to strengthen its AI-powered chatbot

Mumbai-based YES BANK has tapped Microsoft to develop its new AI-enabled chatbot name YES ROBOT.

The new solution will use a natural language processing-engine which, combined with other cognitive services, would enable clients to solve their problems without the need of the help from a human being. That includes performing financial and non-financial banking transactions.

The list of services available to customers via YES ROBOT includes applying for over 65 banking products, check loan eligibility, book fixed and recurring deposits, manage their credit card, view summary, bill payment, reward points and international card usage.

Commenting on the partnership with Microsoft, Ritesh Pai, chief digital officer at YES BANK, stated that the company has been an early adapter of new tech for a long time.

“Recognizing that chatbots would be game changers in the industry, providing major competitive advantage to banks, we had started working on automating several processes and service touch points through bots as early as 2016,” he revealed. “The reinvigoration of YES ROBOT in-house, using Microsoft’s cognitive services aims to further enhance customer service by personalizing interactions and reducing the time-of-first-response to just a few seconds.”
