Air Doctor, which helps consumers find and book doctor appointments around the world, has reportedly netted $3.1m in seed funding.
The capital injection was led by Kamet Ventures, according to a report from Business Money.
Travellers can utilise Air Doctor to select a doctor based on specialty, location, language, and other client reviews. They can then book an appointment through the app and once they get their invoice, they simply send it off to their insurer. The platform aims to help people find a trusted doctor, even when they are in a different country.
Air Doctor also aims to help insurers by freeing them from having to negotiate hundreds of contracts with physicians around the world.
Last year, Kamet participated in the £5m Series A round OF Anorak Technologies. The company uses data science and machine learning technology to help consumers in the UK get the correct cover they need.
