USA Technologies collects $50m in equity financing

USA Technologies, a cashless payments and software company has collected $50m in an equity financing round.

The company has received $20m in equity financing from Antara Capital Master Fund and has also entered a $30m senior secured debt financing commitment with the firm.

Capital from the round will be used to support its operating activities.

Terms of the agreement have seen Antara acquire 3.8 million shares of common stock in the company at a price of $5.25 apiece.

USA Technologies offers end-to-end technology solutions for the self-service retail market. Its solution supports payments processing, logistics, and back-office management.

In addition to supporting transactions, USA Technologies is designed to improve increase consumer engagement and sales revenue through digital payments, digital advertising, and customer loyalty programs.

The FinTech previously received $43m in its underwritten public offering. Its sale offered 10 million shares at a price of $4.50. The company also held an IPO in 2011 which pulled in $10.73m.
