Incode, a biometric identity platform for banks and payment companies, has collected a $10m seed round to foster the growth and adoption of its platform globally.
Alongside the investment, the company has released Incode Omni, an omnichannel biometric identiy platform which eases opening accounts, identity authentication, and payments. It has been designed to scale across industries and with various consumer services.
The service has multiple software development kits which can be combined to build a product which meets a client’s needs and can integrate with their existing hardware.
There are several different options available for clients which can improve onboarding authentication and transactions. The Incode Welcome solution onboards users through an image of their credit card, photo ID and an optional video selfie, while Incode Greet is an interactive kiosk which uses facial recognition, liveness detection and ID validation.
Another tool available through Incode Omni is the Hello service which lets a user access mobile apps, banking, and ATMs with just their face. This is similar to another one of the company’s tools Incode Check, which lets a customer verify purchases and transactions with their face.
Incode founder and CEO Ricardo Amper said, “The modern consumer is all about experiences and convenience.
“What they want is a seamless, consistent and secure way to perform daily tasks like access their ATM, make payments, and access online accounts. Yet, what they get today is quite the opposite. The ecosystem is fragmented by multiple vendors and devices, making processes clunky and inefficient. That’s precisely why we’ve built Incode Omni: to help companies provide a frictionless, secure and convenient experience for the next generation of consumers.”
