Tandem, the British challenger bank, is gearing up to go global. First stop: Hong Kong.
The digital bank has announced that it is plans to open in Hong Kong before the end of 2019 and is supporting the launch by reusing its Tandem Co-Founders programme, its early adopters’ programme. This is hardly surprising the programme helped the bank roll up the support of 11,000 supporters when it launched in Britain.
“This is an extremely exciting step for Tandem and our first move into international markets,” says Ricky Knox, CEO and co-founder of Tandem Bank.
“Our innovative products and services are perfectly suited to the market here in Hong Kong and we can’t wait to be able to share Tandem with the Hong Kong consumer.”
Convoy Global Holdings, a Hong Kong insurance and brokerage firm, is supporting the Tandem expansion.
