With the launch of its new Indian campus, Barclays hopes to improve innovation in the bank.
The million square-foot campus will house 9,000 employees and is the single biggest Barclays location outside of its London headquarters.
The aim of the new campus is to strengthen the bank’s ability to develop new technology and solutions for to make the lives of its clients easier.
Praveen Kumar, co-CEO of global services centre in India at Barclays, said the new hub is set up to “drive greater collaboration and adoption of agile ways of working for our colleagues, thus enabling us to deliver faster and more innovative solutions for the Bank, and our customers and clients.”
The bank recently demonstrated its ambition to use innovation to boost its services by unveiling its second-generation finger vein scanner to make it more secure for customers to use its services.
