InsurTech startup Qlaims scores £2.3m in its seed funding round

Qlaims, a property claims platform, has allegedly scored £2.3m in its seed funding round as it looks to enhance its technology.

The capital was supplied by West Hill Corporate Finance, as well as other backers, according to a report from Insurance Edge.

With the fresh equity, the company is looking to increase the development of its technology, it said.

The InsurTech offers technology which aims to improve the claims industry. It offers video streaming and drone technology to insurers, brokers and loss adjustors to improve their claims protocols.

Qlaims CEO Malcolm Harvey told Insurance Edge, “Brokers are using our free video streaming not only for claims but also for pre-risk surveys, mid- term variations and any visit where evidential footage is required. We are becoming an integral part of the new norm for working.

“We are pleased to see so much interest in Qlaims Insurance and its newly updated loss recovery insurance, which forms part of the industry’s response to the FCA’s requirement to improve the customer claims journey.”
