Artis Technologies secures its first institutional investment round

Artis Technologies, an API solution developer, has closed its seed round on $1.5m, but is looking to raise more capital later in the year.

The capital was supplied by Fintech Ventures Fund and its affiliates and marks the company’s first institutional investment.

With the close of the round, Artis has raised a total of $3m in a mixture of debt and equity.

Artis’ plans for the rest of the year include raising additional capital, implementing its initial financial institution partners and continuing to grow the team.

The company, which launched in March 2020, helps financial institutions to offer downstream credit via their existing business customers to build high-quality consumer loans.

It recently released its Artis Credit platform, which connects businesses with a network of banks, credit unions and lenders.

The API-based solutions leverage data sources and AI decisioning to make real-time loan offers that meet specific consumer needs.

Artis CEO Barclay Keith said, “Launching during the pandemic proved to be a challenge, but also allowed for time to focus on our technology and broader product strategy – proving to our team, current and prospective investors, and clients exactly what we’re capable of.”
