Financial services firm Foresters Financial has partnered with InsurTech company dacadoo to create a platform that will encourage healthy living.
The platform will empower and reward Foresters customers that adopt lifestyles that embrace healthy wellbeing: physical, mental and community-mindedness.
This new service is expected to launch to all its members later this year.
Foresters insurance services include coverage for life, critical illness, income and more. By leveraging the dacadoo platform, the firm can utilise wearable app-enabled technology and behavioural science to engage with members on a personalised basis.
An interactive digital coach encourages users to engage with the platform, and each other, to drive long-term health goals and encourage giving back. Members earn points for engaging in their personal journey, which can be used to redeem rewards through an online store. These rewards include tablets, smart watches, gift cards, charitable donations and more.
Foresters president and CEO Jim Boyle said, “Many InsurTech platforms in the market today focus on the physical and mental aspects of health, but they don’t address the importance of purpose and giving back to your community, which has powerful well-being benefits.
“Our platform will integrate all of these aspects and stands out because we’re making it available to all of our members, not just the new customers.”

This is the second partnership dacadoo has formed this week. The Switzerland-based InsurTech recently teamed up with SOMPO Himawari Life Insurance to create a new health app called Linkx score.
The new platform supports holistic health by suppling a comprehensive overview of the user’s body, mind and lifestyle.
