Citadel ID secures $3.5m investment for employment verification tool

Citadel ID has netted $3.5m in a new cash injection round to boost its income and employment verification service.

Abstract, Soma VC, ChapterOne and Brianne Kimmel and angel investors who’ve previously worked at Zynga, Stripe and Carta backed the raise, according to TechCrunch.

Citadel ID was co-founded by Kirill Klokov in 2020, who had previously worked at Carta. The new startup enables businesses to verify the employment status of their customers.

The venture enables  people to give access to businesses to verify their income and employment status.

Carta secured a $80m investment at a $800m valuation in 2019.
