Israel-based email and collaboration security company Perception Point has raised $28m from a Series B funding round.
The financing round was led by Red Dot Capital Partners with participation from NGP Capital, Pitango Venture Capital and State of Mind Ventures.
Following their participation, Yoram Oron and Atad Peled from Red Dot and Bo Ilsoe from NGP Capital will also join the Perception Point board of directors. To date, Perception Point has raised a total of $48m in funding.
Perception Point is a prevention-as-a-service business that provides users fast interception of any content-based attack across all collaboration channels such as cloud storage, email and messaging platforms and CRM apps. The platform provides support against phishing, malware, BEC and spam among other issues before it reaches users.
The company’s customer portfolio includes a diverse range of industries, including tech, food, retail, healthcare, financial services and telecom.
According to Perception, it intends to use the funds raised to accelerate growth, expand to new markets, speed up product innovation and grow its team to support customer demand.
