Alerzo bags $10.5m in Nosara-led Series A

Nigerian FinTech Alerzo has raised $10.5m from a Series A funding round led by Nosara Capital.

The round also saw participation from FJ Labs and various family offices from the regions of Asia, Europe and the US.

Founded in 2019, Lagos-based Alerzo is a business-to-business digital marketplace for informal retailers to receive and make cashless payments as well as track the profitability of its store.

The company provides its users with a portfolio of digital services such as airtime purchase, bill payments and the processing of peer-to-peer transfers. The firm specialises in the areas of logistics, e-commerce and payments.

Alerzo has said that it now intends to use the newly raised capital to expand its operations and its business reach. To date, the company has raised up to $20m in total funding.
