Spanish InsurTech Weecover has closed its seed round £2.3m to support its international growth ambitions.
Nauta Capital, a venture capital firm focused on B2B software companies, served as the lead investor, according to a report from Silicon Canals.
Funds from the round will be used bolster Weecover’s position in Europe and enter new international markets. To support this, the InsurTech company plans to hire more staff.
Founded in 2019, Weecover simplify online and digital insurance onboarding for companies, customers and distribution partners. Companies can easily implement insurance solutions in their online shopping systems.
During the checkout phase of a purchase, the client can implement the Weecover widget without needing to implement masses of code.
Fellow Spain-headquartered InsurTech company asistensi recently collected €8.9m in a funding round, which was led by 468 Capital. The platform helps consumers find the best health insurance that covers medical emergencies.
