Carlyle set to snap up ManTech in $4.2bn deal

Private equity firm Carlyle is set to acquire US defence contractor ManTech International Corporation in an $4.2bn all-cash deal.

According to Security Week, ManTech provides a wide range of tech solutions to government agencies, including cyber, mission and enterprise IT, data analytics, software development, intelligence systems and engineering.

In the area of cybersecurity, the company offers offensive cyber operations, defence, analytics, SOAR, hardening and resilience and risk management and compliance.

As a part of the deal, ManTech shareholders will secure $96 per share in cash, which represents a 32% premium to a share price of $72.82 on Feburary 2 of this year. The srock price on May 13 was close to $82.

The transaction is anticipated to close in the second half of the year.
