• Fin Capital, a full lifecycle global asset manager, Speedinvest, an early-stage European tech startup investor, and Tiger Global Management, a global tech investment firm, were the most active Marketplace Lending investors in the first quarter of 2022 with five investments each.
• AC Ventures, an early-stage technology venture fund that focuses on investing in Indonesia’s digital disruptors, was the youngest most active investor firm listed and was founded in 2020. AC Ventures manages over $380m in AUM invested across four funds and has invested in over 100 technology companies in Indonesia and South East Asia.
• Overall investment in the sector reached $6.6bn in Q1 2022 across 268 deals. United States was the most active country accounting for 30% of Marketplace Lending deals with 82 in total. The second most active Marketplace Lending country was India, accounting for 11% of Marketplace Lending deals at 28 in total.
