KnowBe4, a security awareness and training platform, has launched a venture capital division, KnowBe4 Ventures.
Cybersecurity investors Elephant and Ten Eleven Ventures have partnered with KnowBe4 for the initiative.
The division will invest off its balance sheets and is focused on early-stage investments at the seed through Series B stages.
One of the key areas of focus are companies addressing the human layer of cybersecurity or have an integration case with KnowBe4’s products.
KnowBe4 CEO Stu Sjouwerman said, “Cyber attacks continue to plague organisations in every industry.
“The majority of these attacks target the human, so it is important to support founders taking on the challenge of improving security culture and accelerating the importance of securing the human layer.”
KnowBe4 Ventures has already made its first investment. It recently joined the $8m funding round of Lumu, which develops a continuous compliance assessment cybersecurity model.
