Nationwide and Adopt a Pet are joining forces on the mission to save and improve the lives of companion animals.
The partnership focuses on educating new pet parents and potential adopters about the role that pet health insurance can play in managing the lifetime costs associated with pet ownership.
Adopt a Pet helps more than 19,000 animal shelters, humane societies, SPCAs, pet rescue groups, and pet adoption agencies showcase around 240,000 adoptable pets at any given time to adoptapet.com’s 3.5 million visitors each month.
The partnership designates Nationwide as Adopt a Pet’s exclusive pet insurance carrier and provides the opportunity to promote its pet protection solutions within the Adopt a Pet ecosystem of animal welfare organisations.
Heidi Sirota, Nationwide pet insurance president and chief pet officer, said, “Adopting a pet is a special experience and we’re thrilled that this partnership makes Nationwide part of that journey, starting from ‘Gotcha Day.

Earlier this year, Petco Health and Wellness Company partnered with Nationwide to develop an integrated and affordable pet protection solution.
