• Tiger Global, an American investment firm focused on Internet, software, consumer, and financial technology, was the most active FinTech investor in the first half of 2022 with 70 deals. Tiger Global has become one of the most prolific tech investors in recent years, with investments in more startups (including FinTechs) valued over $1bn than any other firm.
• Overall, there were 6,300 unique FinTech investors globally in H1 2022 with MoonPay, a payments infrastructure for crypto, being the deal with highest participation with 69 investors. On average these 6,300 investors made 1.8 investments each and only 14% of investors made more than two investments in total.
