Insured Nomads, a global health and travel insurance provider, has partnered with Hostpot Cover to launch to a special travel insurance product for high-risk regions.
Insured Nomads provides international health insurance with medical benefits in tandem with safety, security, cybersecurity and tech-enabled solutions.
Hotspot Cover is backed with reinsurance capacity by certain underwriters at Lloyd’s of London.
The new travel insurance product, The World Explorer™ series, includes World Explorer™ (int’l travel medical), World Explorer™ Multi (annual travel medical), World Explorer Guardian™ (medical + trip cancelation), and now the World Explorer™ Hotspot (restricted regions).
The product is designed to protect people travelling in restricted regions, such as warzones, or unstable conflict zones.
The programme, offered through the partnership between Insured Nomads and Hostpot Cover, is underwritten by Opportuna Insurance PCC Limited – Frank Risks Cell, which is authorized and regulated by The Guernsey Financial Services Commission (GFSC).
Will Edlin – Head of Insurance, Hotspot Cover, said, “Insuring people travelling off the beaten path, in challenging environments, and hostile regions, is what we do. Hotspot Cover has developed a comprehensive insurance policy for high-risk regions and activities, with the added peace of mind for travellers that should the unexpected happen, we’ve got you covered.
“Hotspot Cover is partnered with Inherent Risks, a response provider who have been tried and tested, from Afghanistan to Ukraine, and can actually respond when our travellers need them most. The collaboration between Hotspot Cover and Insured Nomads just makes sense. Whether for business or pleasure, travel with confidence knowing that you have the most proactive and comprehensive travel, medical and crisis response coverage available on the market.”
In June last year, Insured Nomads acquired Peanut, a Google Chrome extension that helps travellers see important information about their destination. Once a travel shopper adds Peanut’s free Google Chrome extension to their browser, the tool reveals travel and destination details as they search the web’s most popular travel sites for flights and hotels.
