MANGOPAY has extended its long-term strategic partnership with PayPal to provide marketplaces with quick access to PayPal’s global payment services.

The agreement allows marketplaces to easily build a dynamic payment experience and make PayPal tools available to end-users. MANGOPAY and PayPal have worked together since 2016.

Companies leveraging MANGOPAY’s payment infrastructure can personalise their payment experiences through a single integration. As part of this, they can implement PayPal’s payment methods.

Speaking on the deal extension, MANGOPAY CEO Romain Mazeries said, “PayPal’s historical collaboration with some of the world’s largest marketplaces align with MANGOPAY’s mission to unleash platform growth by reducing complexity in today’s borderless world.

“Payment choice and flexibility have always been a critical part of a successful marketplace experience. Platforms today must address complex payment needs to help drive increased conversion. That is why our expanded strategic cooperation with PayPal is key and will allow us to build the most comprehensive payment environment that platforms need to succeed.”

MANGOPAY supports B2B platforms, as well as B2C and C2C marketplaces. Through its infrastructure, clients can accept payments, send payouts, and onboard sellers, whilst maintaining security and keeping in line with regulatory requirements.

Last year, the company acquired AI fraud detection and prevention company Nethone. With the addition of Nethone’s technology, MANGOPAY can offer anti-fraud technology designed for marketplaces, betting protecting e-commerce transactions.

PayPal has also been busy recently. The venture arm of the company recently invested into CyberTech company Deep Instinct. Deep Instinct currently protects customers across North America, Europe, and APAC, with enterprise customers tripling in 2022, including strategic wins with numerous Global 2000 companies.

Late last year, PayPal teamed up with Web3 firm ConsenSys. This deal allows US-based users of MetaMask to be able to purchase Ethereum from within the PayPal app.
