Insurance carrier Nationwide has teamed up with consumer InsurTech solution Waffle to offer instant online auto and home coverage.
Nationwide, a Fortune 100 company based in Columbus, Ohio, considers itself one of the largest and strongest diversified insurance and financial services organizations in the US.
The insurer said it is partnering with Waffle to protect Waffle customers’ homes and vehicles in minutes, all online.
This partnership will make Nationwide the preferred auto and homeowner insurance carrier for Waffle and will include the direct integration of Nationwide’s auto & home products onto the Waffle platform. Waffle has also been appointed by Nationwide to sell all of its Personal P&C products.
Nationwide’s auto and home products will be available through the Waffle platform first to select states1, with a particular focus on premium coverage. If they qualify, customers will be able to purchase coverage online in a matter of minutes.

Earlier this year, CompScience Insurance Services entered a managing general agent (MGA) agreement with Nationwide and Swiss Re to underwrite, bind and service workers’ compensation policies.
